Liverpool have identified RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as their primary target to replace Mohamed Salah, with FSG approving the pursuit of a deal worth in the region of £87m. The 19-year-old had a breakout season in Germany after joining Leipzig from Leganes for just €20m, and is now among the most sought-after young attackers in Europe.

Personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle, with Diomande keen on the move to Anfield. Club-to-club talks between Liverpool and Leipzig are set to begin in the coming weeks as Arne Slot looks to reshape his attacking options ahead of next season.
