Other reports, including from This Is Anfield and TEAMtalk citing Fabrizio Romano, describe Tottenham as still a genuine suitor and Gakpo as a stated "priority" for Spurs, with a fee in the region of £70 million mentioned.
Gakpo signed a new five-year contract at Anfield last year, tying him to the club until 2030, and is reported to only be open to a move within Europe's top five leagues if he were to leave. With Liverpool and Tottenham's own positions seemingly still being worked out internally, nothing appears close to resolution.
