Manchester City are racing to secure the future of 16-year-old midfielder Xavier Parker after Fabrizio Romano confirmed Liverpool are keen on the teenager and a move is considered possible. Parker has been at City's academy since 2024 following his departure from West Ham, and has impressed with six goals and seven assists across 21 appearances for the under-18s this season, including two appearances captaining the England under-16 side.

Romano confirmed City are actively working hard to agree a new deal with Parker's camp and view him as an elite talent they cannot afford to lose. Liverpool have so far made no official approach, but their interest is genuine and the situation is being monitored closely. Several other clubs are also admirers of the attacking midfielder, making the coming weeks critical in determining where Parker will spend his development years.
