FC Barcelona have submitted an opening offer of around 35 million EUR to Tottenham Hotspur for right-back Pedro Porro as Hansi Flick looks to add defensive quality ahead of the new season. The Spanish international has been on Barcelona radar for some time and the La Liga club have now made their first concrete move to kick-start negotiations with the north London side.

Tottenham are expected to push back on the initial valuation, with the club believed to want a significantly higher fee for the 26-year-old. Porro has been one of the more consistent performers for Spurs this season and any deal would represent a significant outlay as Barcelona continue to reshape the squad around Flick attacking philosophy.
