Barcelona will not activate their €30m option to sign Marcus Rashford permanently, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the clause will expire untriggered by Monday's June 15 deadline. The decision comes despite Rashford contributing 14 goals and 14 assists during his loan spell at Camp Nou, with the club's board deciding that signing Anthony Gordon for £70m made another left-winger investment hard to justify.

Manchester United are adamant they want a full permanent sale and will not entertain another loan arrangement. Bayern Munich have now entered the picture, with Christian Falk and The Sun both reporting the German giants are prepared to pay £34.5m to bring Rashford to the Allianz Arena. Rashford is currently with Thomas Tuchel's England squad at the World Cup, with his club future expected to be resolved once the tournament concludes.
