Casemiro is on the verge of leaving Manchester United as a free agent and Inter Miami have emerged as the clear frontrunners to land the Brazilian midfielder. The 34-year-old is understood to be pushing hard for the move, motivated in large part by the opportunity to play alongside Lionel Messi in MLS, with his family also enthusiastic about relocating to Miami.
Inter Miami face one potential complication in MLS designated player rules, which limit clubs to three high-salary slots. The two parties are working through the financial structure to get the deal over the line. Saudi Pro League clubs have also made offers but Casemiro is said to prefer the Miami project above all other options.
