Barcelona have given Raphinha permission to travel to Brazil for a few days to spend time with his family following the confirmation of his five-week hamstring injury.
The club took the decision to allow the break given that Raphinha is unable to train during the initial phase of his recovery and the emotional blow of missing both Champions League quarter-final legs against Atletico Madrid is significant. He has been given his rehabilitation guidelines and will return to Barcelona in the coming days to begin treatment at the club's medical facilities.
Raphinha is targeting a return around the Osasuna match on May 3, which would make him available for the potentially title-deciding Clasico at Camp Nou on May 10. FIFA will also compensate Barcelona for the injury given it was sustained during international duty.
