Hansi Flick spoke after Barcelona's 2-1 victory at Atletico Madrid on Saturday, and his mind was already on Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Camp Nou.

"It was a very important victory. They defended very well with ten men, but we played very well with the ball. We controlled the game and I liked it. We tried everything to score the second goal. The most important thing is the victory and the three points."

He was measured on the title race. "We controlled the match. These are three very important points. There are eight games left, nothing is done and we have to do our job."

On Yamal's visible frustration at full time: "Lamine was a bit angry because he was trying everything and didn't score. It's an emotional match — that's normal. He's back in the locker room and he's fine. I have nothing to criticize him for. He always kept trying and that's good for me."

On Wednesday: "On Wednesday we play them again and it will be very tough. We need to play our game, give everything and prepare for the match. We have three days to prepare for the Champions League match and arrive as best as possible."

On Lewandowski's contract: "For me it's too far away to talk about Lewandowski's renewal. I'm happy with Robert and my players. There are eight league games left to play. We have to be focused. It's our job."

On Rashford: "It's too early. We have to do our work."

On the Gerard Martin red card reversal: "From what I saw, he clears the ball. I haven't seen the replay but for me he gets the ball."
