Andrew Robertson has confirmed he will join Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer when his Liverpool contract expires, bringing the curtain down on a hugely successful nine-year stay at Anfield. The 32-year-old full-back had a verbal agreement with Tottenham in place and chose to remain in the Premier League despite a late attempt by Juventus to lure him to Serie A.
Robertson won four major trophies at Liverpool including the Premier League and the Champions League, making more than 370 appearances in all competitions. He lost his starting role to Milos Kerkez last season, making a summer exit the logical outcome. Tottenham secured their top-flight status on the final day of the season, clearing the way for the deal to be formalised.
