Andoni Iraola has signed a two-year contract to become the new Liverpool head coach, taking over from Arne Slot who was dismissed at the weekend. The Spaniard arrives at Anfield having led Bournemouth to a sixth-place Premier League finish and European qualification for the first time in the club history.

Liverpool reached a verbal agreement with Iraola earlier in the week and the contract was finalised on Thursday. The deal is confirmed, with a formal announcement from the club expected imminently. Iraola is understood to have requested that members of his coaching staff join him on Merseyside.
