Manchester United have completed a deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta for an initial fee of 35 million pounds, with a further 4 million pounds available in performance-related add-ons. The 26-year-old central midfielder becomes the first signing of the Michael Carrick era at Old Trafford, agreeing a contract until 2030 with an option to extend by one year.

Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic confirmed the deal is fully agreed, with Ederson set to travel to Manchester to complete formalities. INEOS are expected to add another midfielder to the squad this summer, with the club remaining active in the transfer market following this initial move.
