Arsenal and Newcastle have agreed a framework for Bruno Guimarães's move, with David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano confirming a guaranteed fee of £75 million, paid as a flat sum over 24 months with no add-ons attached. Around £7 million of that fee is owed to Guimarães's former club Olympique Lyonnais under a sell-on clause from his original 2021 move to Newcastle.
Guimarães is set to undergo a medical with Arsenal before the transfer is finalised. He becomes the third major departure from St James' Park this summer, following Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, and would rank as the second-most expensive signing in Arsenal's history.
