Hansi Flick received a timely triple boost this Wednesday morning as Raphinha, Marc Bernal and Andreas Christensen all returned to group training at the Ciutat Esportiva — just days after Barcelona's 2-0 win over Getafe.
RAPHINHA
Raphinha has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in his right leg during Brazil's friendly against France on March 26 — five weeks ago. The plan all along was for him to return to group training at the five-week mark, and that timeline has been met. The Brazilian winger is now targeting a return to the squad for Saturday's La Liga trip to Osasuna at El Sadar. His return is a significant boost for Flick, who has been without both of his primary wide players — Raphinha and Yamal — for the crucial run-in. Raphinha's return could not be more timely with the El Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou on May 10 just around the corner.
MARC BERNAL
Marc Bernal suffered an ankle sprain during the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico Madrid a month ago. The 18-year-old defensive midfielder has grown into an increasingly important player for Flick's side and his return adds depth to a midfield that has been stretched in recent weeks. Bernal has also been cleared to return to group training today and is pushing for involvement at Osasuna on Saturday.
ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN
The Danish centre-back has been sidelined since December with a serious knee injury sustained in training before the Villarreal match. His return to group training today is the furthest along he has been in his rehabilitation. While a return to the matchday squad for Osasuna may come too soon, Christensen's presence on the training pitch is an important step — and he could feature in the final weeks of the season.
YAMAL STILL OUT
Lamine Yamal remains in individual rehabilitation after confirming a Grade 2 hamstring tear in his left leg against Celta Vigo on April 22. He arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva on Sunday to begin treatment. Barcelona are taking a cautious approach to his recovery with the 2026 World Cup in mind — Spain open against Cape Verde on June 15.
