Robert Lewandowski is weighing up a new contract offer from Barcelona as Juventus circle in the background.

The 37-year-old striker's deal expires at the end of the season and Barcelona had been planning for life without him. That thinking has shifted. Lewandowski has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances this campaign, performing well enough to convince the club to offer him an extension, though only on significantly reduced wages.

Juventus scouts were present to watch Lewandowski during Poland's World Cup playoff games. The Italian giants are looking for a striker this summer and a free agent of his quality and experience would represent outstanding value. Whether he opts for a reduced deal at Barcelona to finish his La Liga chapter, or pursues a final big contract elsewhere, is a decision he is expected to make after the season concludes.
