FC Barcelona have confirmed the departure of Alexia Putellas, marking the end of one of the most remarkable chapters in women's football history. The two-time Ballon d'Or winner has left the club after 14 seasons, her final appearance coming on May 27 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, where she provided an assist before receiving a deeply emotional farewell from supporters.

Putellas departs as the most decorated player in Barcelona's history. Her 36 trophies surpass even Lionel Messi's total with the club and include four UEFA Women's Champions League titles, ten Liga F crowns, nine Copa de la Reina, four Supercopa de Espana and nine Copa Catalunya.

Her departure follows Barcelona's fourth Women's Champions League triumph just days earlier, a 4-0 win over Olympique Lyonnais in Oslo in which Ewa Pajor and Salma Paralluelo both scored twice. London City Lionesses are understood to be holding positive talks regarding her next move, with the 32-year-old open to a new challenge after giving everything to the Blaugrana cause.
