Hansi Flick addressed the media at the Metropolitano on Monday ahead of Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid. Barcelona go into the match needing to overturn a 2-0 deficit.
On the approach: "We have to make the first step, which is tomorrow. We have to focus more on a strong performance, not on the result. When we play well, we're also able to score goals."
On whether this is a final: "It's not a final, definitely. But in the end I would like to win it. This is what we want to do tomorrow. Everything is focused on this, 100%."
On the defence: "I'm not worried about our defending. We need to focus on delivering a good performance first, because when we play well, we are capable of scoring goals and achieving what we want."
On the tactical plan: "We have to attack, press, and take advantage of every opportunity. I think that's where the difference between them and us lies if we look at the last match, but perhaps tomorrow will be completely different. We need strong defence, to be brave in attack, press, and seize opportunities."
On Yamal: "Lamine Yamal has been performing excellently lately and he is one of the best players in one-on-one situations. We need to support him and give him opportunities, but the most important thing is to play as a team. That is the key to the match."
On the atmosphere at the Metropolitano: "I expect a completely different match due to the atmosphere of the stadium. It will be tough, but I believe in my team."
On what he has prepared: "Yesterday was for recovery and today we worked on something specific. It's important that we show on the pitch what we've been working on in training, and I hope that pays off tomorrow."
On the quality in the squad: "We have the quality. We have the players who can change this. But, of course, we have to fight. We have to focus on the magic."
